4/3/2023 0 Comments LochMaster 4 Full Version![]() I suppose that is valuable in itself to create war desire or get positive events if you are behind, but it feels a little lacklustre in comparison to the other yields. But if you have really high influence then you have nothing to spend it on outside of the natural spread of your culture. High production or gold leads to actually building or buying the improvements and more districts. High food leads to more pop and a bigger army. ![]() I feel that high influence generation has nothing going for it in that sense. Wonders are currently the only other thing that you can spend influence on and while they do provide substantial bonuses you only get a handful each era (and then have nothing to spend them on) and you can only pick one at a time (only a problem if you have low production or are not rushing with pops in the early game). This is made even worse if you pick the mid game policy that lets you build outposts and connect outposts with gold. However, it quickly loses its value as the land gets filled up. Influence is very valuable early game for founding outposts, building cities, and attaching outposts to cities. I played a lot of the Opendev at the highest difficulty and while there were lots of things that I loved about it, in the spirit of helping to create the best historical 4x game they can make I have outlined the 3 biggest concerns that I would like to throw out there. ![]()
